Some Random Green Thoughts ... For Everyone

Buy locally to try to lessen the environmentalal-effects of transporting goods and
to support your local economy.

Whenever possible grow your own produce. And, if this is not feasible find out
about 'communal/ community shared gardens' in your area.

Adjust your diet with the seasons. Buying fruits and vegetables 'in-season' can
also help to reduce the environmental-effects of transportation and support the
sustainability of [more] local  producers.

Wherever practical composting is certainly a way to Reduce the amount of
'garbage' we take to the curb. And, the result/product of composting is
'horticultural-gold'!

Be an Avid Recycler! This includes trying to encourage local public officials to
expand the list of  materials that are Recyclable in your community.

Seek to be an informed consumer [and citizen!]. On every possible occasion, speak
with a store manager/customer relations person ~ Where does this product come
from? Why don’t you sell an environmentally friendlier alternative? Why don’t
you provide information about GM foods?

Ask for product labels that will allow you to make more Informed [and therefore
likely Better] Choices

Write to governments and businesses regarding your concerns, thoughts and ideas,
this might lend weight to efforts to Change things for the Better!

Always buy Concentrated and where possible Organically/Naturally-Derived
& Biodegradable products, this will, among other things, reduce a broad-range
of the environmental-costs associated with the products you purchase.

Remember the Best solution is always to Reduce your Consumption.

Never buy products in aerosol cans - they are unnecessary!

Carry plastic, paper or, even better, Reusable Cloth Bags around with you.
